Cleaning/protecting matte paint?

Hi all,

Looking to pick up some cleaning products ahead of collecting my Bobber Black. Itís finished in matte black and I understand there are some specific requirements regarding suitable cleaning products.

Can anyone please recommend a shampoo and also whatís best to protect the paint with as I understand traditional waxes and polishes arenít recommended.

Thanks in advance.

Mike.

I picked up some Topcoat F11 to use on mine once I get it. Amazon carries a RAT WAX matte finish motorcycle kit for around $30 that's very well reviewed too.

Thanks for that.... I come across some Dr Beasley products whilst doing some research but at almost £200 for a small kit I think Iíll be forgiven when I say... f#ck that!

I also use chemical brothers stuff (but for other applications, not the bike).
Very good quality and reasonably priced too.
Will look into getting some of their products for the bike.

Any advice on how to clean the matte black exhaust? Especially the right side that might pick up some chain grease over time?

I've successfully tried Motul E11 matte surface clean on the painted parts (tank, side covers, ...) and it works great for removing fingerprints etc and provide a nice, matte finish.

My right pipe is starting to shine. Mainly because I forget and put my foot on it.
